Harvest Wind Project is located near Goldendale, Washington.  A partnership with four Northwest public utilities constructed this 99 Megawatt project, which was completed in 2009. Harvest Wind has 43 Siemens 2.3 MW turbines.

Harvest Wind Project qualified for a U.S. Treasury Department grant for a portion of the construction costs; these funds were made available through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The total project cost after the grant was $160 million.

The utilities built the project to meet a portion of its State obligation for renewable energy, under Initiative 937, with the output of Harvest Wind. I 937 requires utilities with over 25,000 consumers to have 15% of their power come from renewable energy by 2020.

The Harvest Wind Project enjoys the benefits of working under a Shared Services Agreement with White Creek Wind I, LLC.   Click on the logo, to access White Creek Wind I
